The Dolphin Coast extends from Zimbali in the South to the mighty
Tugela in the north. It includes the coastal resorts of Ballito, Chakas
Rock, Salt Rock, Sheffield Beach, Blythedale and Zinkwazi.
With plenty of accommodation to choose from the Dolphin Coast has a lot
to offer visitors. One can choose from playing golf at one of four
magnificent golf courses, visiting the crocodile & animal
farms, historical sites, nature reserves, nurseries, cultural villages,
taking a marine excursions or simply soaking up the sun on the golden
beaches.
The beaches have lifeguards and are shark protected. There are various
tidal and rock pools as well as coastal walks that can be undertaken at
low tide. Shopping facilities and a host of different restaurants are
also available.
Culture and history form an integral part of life on the Dolphin Coast.
There are three different cultures of the Indian, Zulu and Colonial,
which can all be viewed on one estate at "The Kingom" in Sheffield. You
can also visit the King Shaka Memorial in KwaDukuza/ Stanger, the
Dukuza Museum or the grave & home of Nobel Peace Prize winner
Chief Albert Luthuli in Groutville. Visitors are welcome view the many
different temples and mosques in the Shakaskraal and KwaDukuza/ Stanger
